Severed heads, broken hearts – Robyn Schneider

Ezra has everything, looks, intelligence, athleticism – he is a truly golden boy, with his life mapped out for him. After high school, college on a sports scholarship. A one minute mistake by a driver that runs away on a dark night, changes all of that

When Ezra returns  to school for his final year, he has missed all of summer break rehabilitating his shattered knee.

He no longer holds a place as the captain of the elite tennis squad. His friends and girlfriend seem not to want to know him. He settles for the quiet of the ‘misfits’ table – where he finds surprising friendships and the possibility of more….

While a little contrived in places, this was fast paced enough to keep me interested – underlying ideas of social responsibility were interesting too!
